Kapuspen TNI : TNI dan Dewan Pers Sepakati Perjanjian Kerja Sama

Kepala Pusat Penerangan (Kapuspen) TNI Mayjen TNI Wuryanto, S.Sos., M.Si, bersama Wakil Ketua Dewan Pers Ahmad Djauhar melaksanakan penandatanganan Perjanjian Kerja Sama (PKS) antara Tentara Nasional Indonesia (TNI) dengan Dewan Pers, di Balai Wartawan Puspen TNI, Mabes TNI Cilangkap, Jakarta Timur, Senin (25/9/2017).
Kapuspen TNI Mayjen TNI Wuryanto S.Sos., M.Si, dalam sambutannya menyampaikan bahwa penandatanganan PKS antara TNI dan Dewan Pers menindaklanjuti MoU pada tanggal 9 Februari 2017 di Bali saat peringatan Hari Pers Nasional. “Penandatangan ini perlu ada pembahasan-pembahasan yang harus dilaksanakan untuk memperjelas MoU yang sudah ditandatangani oleh Panglima TNI Jenderal TNI Gatot Nurmantyo dengan Dewan Pers,” ungkapnya.
“Penandatanganan kerja sama antara TNI dengan Dewan Pers lahir guna membangun hal-hal positif dalam pelaksanaan tugas, baik TNI maupun awak media, jangan sampai terjadi gesekan di lapangan antara prajurit TNI dengan awak media karena ketidakpahaman, ketidaktahuan dan ketidaksabaran, yang sebetulnya tidak perlu,” kata Mayjen TNI Wuryanto.
Lebih lanjut Kapuspen TNI mengatakan bahwa media massa memiliki nilai strategis, selain sebagai sumber informasi juga sebagai edukasi untuk masyarakat luas. “Kalau kita ingin mewujudkan Indonesia menjadi betul-betul yang berdaulat hebat, adil dan makmur, tentunya tidak bisa dikerjakan oleh pemerintah saja, tetapi harus dikerjakan oleh semua komponen bangsa termasuk media massa,” ucapnya.
“Di lain pihak, TNI dengan tugas menjaga kedaulatan dan keutuhan NKRI juga tidak bisa bekerja sendiri, apalagi kita semuanya paham bahwa Sistem Pertahanan Semesta (Sishanta), sehingga mutlak Kemanunggalan TNI dan Rakyat harus bisa terbangun untuk mewujudkan semuanya,” ujar Kapuspen TNI.
Menjawab pertanyaan awak media, Kapuspen TNI mengatakan bahwa isi dari penandatanganan kerja sama ini ada empat objek yang selama ini menjadi kesalahpahaman, yaitu : perlindungan kebebasan pers, pencegahan kekerasan terhadap wartawan, penegakan hukum, penyebarluasan informasi TNI, peraturan Dewan Pers dan informasi lain terkait kemerdekaan pers. “Prajurit TNI harus paham betul hasil kesepakatan yang ditandatangani hari ini, apa yang boleh dan apa yang tidak boleh dilakukan saat melaksanakan kegiatan bersama wartawan,” katanya.
Terkait pemutaran Film G 30 S/PKI, Kapuspen TNI Mayjen TNI Wuryanto mempersilahkan masyarakat untuk menonton. “Prajurit di seluruh Indonesia agar menyaksikan film itu, sebagai pembelajaran sejarah yang pernah terjadi, sehingga masyarakat dan prajurit tahu bahwa kita pernah mengalami sejarah kelam yang tidak boleh terulang lagi,” ujarnya.
Kapuspen TNI Mayjen TNI Wuryanto juga menjelaskan bahwa HUT Ke-72 TNI yang akan dilaksanakan terpusat di Cilegon Banten tanggal 5 Oktober 2017, rangkaiannya sudah dimulai dari awal tahun 2017. “Kegiatan ini sebagai bentuk pertanggungjawaban dan laporan TNI kepada pemerintah, dan kepada masyarakat atas apa yang telah diberikan oleh pemerintah dan masyarakat kepada TNI,” pungkasnya.
