Panglima TNI Ziarah Ke Makam Soeharto di Astana Giri Bangun
Jakarta,Berawipost co.id (Puspen TNI) Panglima TNI Jenderal TNI Gatot Nurmantyo didampingi Kepala Staf Angkatan dan para Asisten Panglima TNI melaksanakan ziarah ke makam Presiden RI ke-2 Jenderal Besar H.M. Soeharto di Astana Giri Bangun, Matesih, Karanganyar, Surakarta, Jawa Tengah, Selasa (19/9/2017).
Panglima TNI Jenderal TNI Gatot Nurmantyo menyampaikan bahwa pelaksanaan ziarah merupakan salah satu rangkaian HUT Ke-72 TNI Tahun 2017. “Ziarah ke Makam mantan Presiden RI ke-2 Jenderal Besar H.M. Soehartomerupakan salah satu wujud bahwa TNI tidak pernah melupakan sejarah,” ucapnya.
Lebih lanjut Panglima TNI mengatakan bahwa tujuan dari pelaksanaan ziarah ini adalah berdoa sebagai bentuk penghormatan bagi pemimpin bangsa terdahulu. “Disamping itu juga agar prajurit-prajurit TNI meneladani langkah-langkahbeliau sejak perjuangannya hingga sampai menjadi Presiden,” katanya.
“Sosok Jenderal Besar H. M. Soeharto adalah seorang Perwira yang selalu sukses dalam setiap penugasan, sehingga menjadi panutan dan tauladan bagi prajurit-prajurit TNI,” ujar Panglima TNI.
Menjawab pertanyaan wartawan terkait pemutaran Film G 30 S/PKI, Panglima TNI Jenderal TNI Gatot Nurmantyo mengatakan bahwa tujuan dari pemutaran film ini bukanlah untuk mendiskreditkan siapa yang salah, tetapi agar masyarakat dan generasi muda mengetahui bahwa kita pernah punya sejarah kelam.
“Saya memerintahkan kepada seluruh jajaran TNI dan menghimbau kepada masyarakat untuk memutar Film G 30 S/PKI tersebut, sehingga kita tidak mudah untuk terprovokasi dan terpecah-pecah hingga dapat menyebabkan peristiwa tersebut terulang lagi karena sejarah cenderung berulang,” kata Jenderal TNI Gatot Nurmantyo.
