Jakarta-Betawipost.co.id,Perusahaan Daerah (PD) Pasar Jaya mengelola 1.365 tempat usaha di Pasar Rawa Bening atau juga dikenal Jakarta Gems Center, Jl Bekasi Barat Raya, Kelurahan Rawa Bunga, Jatinegara, Jakarta Timur,”Total luas lahan yang digunakan untuk area pasar mencapai 10.933 meter persegi”

Kepala Pasar Rawa Bening, Dede Waskita merinci, tempat usaha tersebut terdiri dari 986 kios dan 379 konter. Sementara, untuk pedagang aktif berjumlah 825 orang.

“Total luas lahan yang digunakan untuk area pasar mencapai 10.933 meter persegi,” kata Dede, Selasa (24/10).

Dijelaskannya, sebagai sentra penjualan batu akik dan batu mulia, Pasar Rawa Bening menjadi salah satu pasar tematik yang dikelola PD Pasar Jaya.

“Kami selalu memperhatikan keamanan dan kenyamanan pedagang maupun pengunjung pasar. Seluruh tempat usaha kami lakukan perawatan rutin,” terangnya.

Salah seorang pedagang, Asep (37) mengungkapkan, untuk kebersihan dan keamanan di Pasar Rawa Bening sudah cukup baik.

“Sebagai pedagang saya tentu berharap jumlah pengunjung maupun pembeli dapat semakin meningkat,” jelasnya.

Terpisah, Asisten Manager Humas PD Pasar Jaya, Amanda Gita Dinanjar mengatakan, pihaknya terus berupaya meningkatkan jumlah pengunjung dengan cara mengadakan pameran dan perlombaan.

“Pameran dan perlombaan sudah kita gelar di bulan Maret dan Agustus 2017. Antusias masyarakat masih tinggi, jadi kita berharap batu akik bisa menjadi tren lagi,” tandasnya.
